“The Social Rewind,” is a weekly blog digest of what we thought were the most interesting, funny, or informational social media posts of the previous week. Q Source follows some really fascinating companies and individuals on Twitter, Facebook & Google+ and we want to share the best of what they have to say.
Leading off this week, TE Connectivity shared this post featuring numerous beautiful photos of Google, Microsoft, and HP data centers. Data storage technology may not be exciting, but it doesn’t have to be ugly.
Don’t think data centers are interesting? Tell us this doesn’t look like a scene from the inside of the Death Star. http://t.co/C4SZPC0uSt

Workrite Ergonomics’ post is another example of a boring, everyday item being made beautiful.

In Laughing Squid’s post, you can’t help but be touched and watch this 10-year time-lapse of Ground Zero construction in silence.
We’re always interested in news about technology being used to benefit health/medical issues. This post by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) looks at a NIST chip that can produce/detect special gases for biomedical analysis.
Think mobile advertising is overwhelming now? Mashable’s post looks at companies like Google’s plans to place ads on car dashboards, thermostats, refrigerators, and more.
And we close out this week’s column with our post that celebrated the 40th anniversary of Rubik’s Cube. We haven’t given up on solving ours…we just think the colors look much prettier all mixed up like that.
There you have it…another quick look at a few of last week’s most interesting social media posts. We hope you enjoyed this week’s Social Rewind. We’d love it if you shared other interesting blog posts with us. Keep on reading! We’re look forward to continuing The Social Rewind through 2014. This is an exciting year for us as we celebrate our 30th anniversary. Keep your eyes open for new features, promotions, interviews, and more. See you next week!
