Long Island SMTA Expo Update: Tech Sessions Added

The Long Island SMTA Expo and Technical Forum updated their schedule with the addition of five technical sessions.

The SMTA's one-day expo will be held September 21, 2011, between 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., at the Islandia Marriott in Islandia, NY. The free technical sessions are scheduled to include:

  • 10:30 a.m.: (Stencils and Solder Paste Print Optimization) Stencil Technology – Laser-Cut and Electro-Formed Stencils by Arthur J. Guidi, CEO Utz, LLC
  • 11:15: (Stencils and Solder Paste Print Optimization) Using Automated Solder Paste Inspection to Improve Print Yields by Chrys Shea, Founder/Owner of Shea Engineering Services
  • 1:30 p.m.: (Pick and Place Technologies) Pick-and-Place - Today and Tomorrow by David Vicari, Process Services Manager, Advanced Process Laboratory, UIC
  • 2:30 p.m.: (Reflow Technology and Thermal Profiling) Reflow Soldering - Reflow Process - Environmental Issues and Concerns by Don De Angelo, VP Corporate Accounts, Heller Industries
  • 3:15 p.m.: (Reflow Technology and Thermal Profiling) Non-Destructive Profiling Methods by MB (Marybeth) Allen, Sales Manager US & Canada, KIC
